Hey all!
Well, to use a really *terrible* pun right here, it seems that this years challenge has kind of stalled out *g* Last year we had over 260 prompts and this year, well, I think that with so many other challenges going on and the seasons wrapping up on a lot of shows soon, everyone's a little distracted and not really putting their heads into the idea of another car fic challenge.
So what we're going to do is this. We'll hold these prompts and keep the comm open and propose the challenge again in a few months from now. That will maybe give some time for some current challenges to wrap up and maybe get this going again.

Hey all! Are we ready to do this again this year? WHOO!
Becuase, yep, it's now TIME. Time for the Multi Fandom Car Porn/Fic Challenge!
Behind the cuts you will have the rules. There are a few changes from last year 'till now, so read them carefully, ok?

Ok! YAY!! Does all this make sense? Again, we're open today, 4/5 through next Friday 4/13 for you to suggest any and every car or roadtrip or travel related prompt you'd like. Then the claiming will be open, and then we write! Whoo!
Please remember,you do not have to be a writer to suggest a prompt. We're looking to get a broad variety here across MANY fandoms, so please, make suggestions, pimp to your flists, and spread the word!

Hello Highway Milers!
So! I woke up this morning and looked at the calendar and HUH. It's, uhm. March 21st. And I have NO idea how that happened.
*facepalm*
Anyway, I do still want to do this again this year, and a lot of people are excited about it, so what we're going to do it this. We're going to push everything up a month, because to try and get everything together for a 4/1 starting posting date at this time would be crazy.
So! Mark your calendars for a huge intro post with all the dates and rules and such to go up Monday, April 2. The day after that, Tuesday, April 3rd will be the day you can start suggesting prompts in any and ALL fandoms. We'll leave that open for a bit before the claiming and posting starts, but yes, as for now, mark your calendar for Monday 4/2 for all the info to go up!

Hey all!
Just a quick heads up that we will *definitely* be doing a 2007 highwaymiles challenge, complete with a new set of prompts and new fandoms to be included and so on.
We'll have a few more "get ready!" type posts before we really get down to business, but I'm looking at generally the same dates as last year: prompt compiling in the middle of March, prompt claiming until the end of March, and story postings to begin April 1st and continue through the 30th.
So yes! Get ready and spread the word! |
